French champions Paris Saint-Germain are keen on hijacking Real Madrid’s deal for Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni and have reportedly offered €100million for the France international, according to The Hard Tackle.
Real Madrid were believed to have been closing in on signing the midfielder but reports now claim Paris Saint-Germain are keen on hijacking the deal.
Tchouameni reportedly wants to join Real Madrid this summer but Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay Monaco more for the midfielder and are also willing to offer Tchouameni more wages to snub a move to Real Madrid.
Signing Tchouameni is a priority for Real Madrid this summer due to the advancing years of the first-choice midfield trio of Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. Tchouameni is seen as the ideal long-term replacement for Casemiro in midfield.
PSG are also keen on signing the Monaco midfielder as they seek to replace Georginio Wijnaldum, Ander Herrera and Danilo Pereira, who are all in the wrong side of 30.
Real Madrid remain favourites to sign Tchouameni from Monaco as the midfielder wants a move to Real Madrid.
