Real Madrid will have £350 million available to spend on new signings, according to a report by Goal.
Success in the Champions League and also the departure of several high earners Marcelo, Gareth Bale and Isco has boosted Real Madrid’s transfer budget.
Marcelo, Bale and Isco leaving Real Madrid this summer will free up roughly £75m ($94m) from the overall wage bill.
Real Madrid will reportedly earn £113m ($141m) from winning the Champions League. The club is also in line for a £310m ($387m) pay-off as part of the partnership with Legends and Sixth Street to administrate the remodelled Santiago Bernabeu’s commercial interests.
The possible sales of Jesus Vallejo, Marcos Asensio, Dani Ceballos, Luka Jovic or Mariano would provide a further boost, not just in lightening the salary burden, but also bringing in fresh funds.
La Liga imposes a salary cap on all its participating teams, based on their revenues and expenditure in past seasons.
According to Goal, Real Madrid had a salary cap of £300million ($375million) for last season and that will be increased to the massive sum of £634million ($792million) for next season.
