Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has backed Arsenal to beat Real Madrid and Chelsea in the race for Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus.

Gabriel Jesus is keen on leaving Manchester City this summer following the arrival of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

The Brazilian international has just one year left on his contract and isn’t willing to extend his stay at Manchester City.

Wilshere is confident Arsenal have the advantage in the race for Gabriel Jesus due to his relationship with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, who was Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City.

“I think they will be queuing up to sign him,” Wilshere said on talkSPORT.

“Arsenal will have a big chance of signing him because of his relationship with Mikel Arteta.

“I can see Newcastle going for him as well but I would love to see him at Arsenal.”

Jesus has scored 95 goals in 236 appearances for Man City, winning four Premier League titles, four EFL Cups and the FA Cup since signing from Palmeiras in 2016.

Meanwhile, this Real Madrid star has been named the most valuable player in the Spanish La Liga.
