Premier League side Chelsea have reportedly submitted an offer to sign Real Madrid transfer target Gabriel Slonina.

According to Spanish media outlet Relevo via The Hard Tackle, Chelsea have submitted a lucrative offer to secure the services of the young Chicago Fire goalkeeper.

Gabriel Slonina has captured the attention of scouts across in Europe since joining Chicago Fire as a 12-year-old in 2016.

The 18 year old became the youngest starting goalkeeper in MLS history at 17 years, 81 days.

It was believed Real Madrid were close to signing the goalkeeper after his agent, Jaime Garcia, confirmed the teenager has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid.

He told MLSsoccer: “It should be an honour for Chicago, and the MLS, to have Real Madrid take notice in one of their players.

“We are hoping Chicago can find an agreement with Real Madrid to realise Gabriel’s dream of playing for this club.”

He added: “With respect to other clubs and other offers [which] we’ve received many, and at the moment we are gracious to those clubs but you cannot say no to Real Madrid.”
