Spanish and European champions Real Madrid are open to selling left-back Ferland Mendy this summer, according to a report on AS via Sports Mole.
Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester United have been told they can sign the left-back for €50million this summer.
Mendy joined Real Madrid from Lyon in July 2019 and has since endured a mixed bag of a stint with the Los Blancos.
While the 27-year-old has garnered a lot of success in the Spanish capital, he has also had some fitness issues, particularly in the 2021/22 season.
Following the arrival of Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea on a free transfer, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti reportedly wants Rudiger and Eder Militao to be his first-choice centre-back pairing.
David Alaba, who played at centre-back with Militao last season, will be shifted to left-back where he has spent the majority of his professional career.
Despite losing legendary left-back Marcelo this summer, Real are still open to selling Mendy to trim the wage budget, according to reports.
Mendy has turned out 105 times for Real Madrid since joining from Lyon, chipping in with five goals and nine assists.

He played an important role in Real Madrid’s 2021-22 La Liga title-winning campaign, featuring on 22 occasions, contributing two goals and two assists.
Mendy still has three years left to run on his Real Madrid contract, having penned a six-year deal with the Spanish side upon his arrival from Lyon in July 2019.
Meanwhile, Okdiario’s chief pundit Eduardo Inda has given an update on Mendy’s Real future.
Speaking on El Chiringuito, Inda said: “Real Madrid wants to sell the player.
“The footballer has asked for a salary increase and Madrid does not want to give it to him under any circumstances. He asks for €5.5 million net per season.
“Madrid has told him no and that if he wants to earn that he will have to look elsewhere. Madrid has told him to bring a €50m offer.”
Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are also interested in the player.
