According to Marca, Real Valladolid president Ronaldo Nazario is keen on signing Real Madrid legend Marcelo this summer.
Marcelo is a free agent after leaving Real Madrid after 15 years following the expiration of his contract.
Ronaldo Nazario, the legendary former Real Madrid striker, wants to bring two big names to his club Real Valladolid following their promotion to the La Liga.
Ronaldo reportedly dreams of signing former Real Madrid left-back Marcelo and former Barcelona right-back Dani Alves this summer.
Ronaldo is reportedly looking to take advantage of his good relationship with his two countrymen.
Ronaldo believes signing Marcelo and Dani Alves will give his club Real Valladolid a publicity boost as well as offering something on the pitch.
Convincing Marcelo to join Real Valladolid will be tough as the 34 year old left-back is attracting interest across Europe, including from Italian champions AC Milan.
While Alves, who left Barcelona after a second spell with the Blaugrana, is also wanted by several teams, including Brazil’s Flamengo, who are looking to bring the full-back home and sign him for at least one season.
Both Alves, 39, and Marcelo, 34, are looking to continue playing at a good level to be in the best possible shape to be considered for the 2022 World Cup this winter.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid star Eder Militao believes his performances this season shows he’s worth the €50million spent on signing him from Porto in 2019.
“When [Ramos and Varane] left, people stressed because they had made so much history at the club,” Militao told Marca on vacation in Ibiza.
“I thought that my time had come to do things well and show the fans, as well as the whole world, that they could also count on me. And I have put together great displays and shown why I am at Real Madrid.
“I have demonstrated [why he cost €50m]. Things did not go well when I arrived because I had two centre-backs ahead of me who had been together for a long time. Now I have shown the reason for my signing.”
Militao made 50 appearances across all competitions this season, contributing two goals and three assists as Real Madrid won the La Liga and Champions League.
