Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is a huge fan of Chelsea right-back Reece James and wants to bring the England international to the Bernabeu, according to The Sun.

The 22 year old is an attacking right-back and has all the qualities to be a Real Madrid player.

Despite being a key player in the Chelsea squad, James earns around £70,000 a week at Chelsea.

James’ contract situation at Chelsea has caught the eyes of Real Madrid president Perez, who believes the England international is underpaid at Chelsea.

Perez is reportedly ready to pay the Chelsea star three times his current salary to dump Stamford Bridge for the Bernabeu.

Perez sees the 22 year old James as the perfect player to replace Daniel Carvajal in the Real Madrid squad.

James has been at Chelsea since he was aged six and with the English club not appreciating a talent like that, Real Madrid are hoping to sign him.

The transfer isn’t feasible this summer but Real Madrid president Perez believes he can bring the Chelsea star to the Bernabeu in the not-so-distant future.

Perez believes a world-class talent like James should be playing for a world-class club like Real Madrid with 14 Champions League trophies.

Premier League side Manchester City are also interested in signing the Chelsea star but wearing the famous white of Real Madrid will definitely appeal to the Chelsea right-back.

Meanwhile, a report on The Telegraph claims new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly wants to tie James down to a new contract in response to Real Madrid’s interest in the England international.
