Real Madrid are keeping a close watch on the situation of Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe, according to The Hard Tackle.
The 26 year old Paris Saint-Germain defender is currently unhappy at the French club.
Kimpembe is currently frustrated at the French club due to their reluctance to hand him a new contract.
Kimpembe is a product of the PSG youth academy and has been a key player for the French champions for many years now.
The 26-year-old has amassed 220 appearances for the reigning Ligue 1 champions and has 28 caps for the French national team.
Kimpembe is seen by many as one of the best defenders in Europe but he feels undervalued at Paris Saint-Germain.
His current contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in 2024, and he is seeking improved terms from the club, which has not been forthcoming as of yet.
Premier League side Chelsea are also monitoring Kimpembe’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain and are ready to make a move for the 26 year old.
Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Kimpembe’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain.
Real Madrid have no immediate need for a new centre-back with the club having Eder Militao, David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger, Nacho Fernandez and Jesus Vallejo.
It seems unlikely Real Madrid will make a move for the France international defender this summer.
But a move for Kimpembe in 2023 could be on the cards when he would be entering the final twelve months of his contract.
For now, though, Real Madrid are just keeping a close watch on the developments surrounding the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner and his contract situation in Paris.
Meanwhile, Gareth Bale has joined MLS club LA Galaxy after leaving Real Madrid this summer.
Bale joined Real Madrid from Tottenham for a then-world-record fee of £85.1m in 2013 before leaving as a free agent this summer.
We don’t need any defender this summer and next.
