Real Madrid are close to signing a youth player from Atletico Madrid for the first time in 15 years after reaching an agreement with Jesus Fortea, according to Marca.
Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid had a non-aggressive pact which prevented both clubs from signing each other’s youth players.
However, that agreement was recently ended which means both clubs can now try to take young talents from each other.
Real Madrid are confident of getting the better side of the deal.
Atletico’s right-back Jesus Fortea, 17, is now set to become the first youth player to move between both clubs in 15 years.
Fortea signed for Atletico from Levante three years ago, but is now set to join Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly angry they are losing a player of his calibre despite developing him over recent years.
Real Madrid believe that Atletico will not be able to sign our talented young players, which has made the club more confident to push for Atletico’s budding stars without fear of retaliation.
Atletico are confident they will be able to keep midfielder Nacho Aalameda, the captain of their Alevin A, despite Real Madrid being reportedly keen on signing him too.
Defender Nacho and midfielder Lucas Vazquez are among Real Madrid’s current first team players who emerged from the club’s academy.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are ready to battle Real Madrid for Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella.
Barella has established himself as one of the best midfielders in Italy since bursting onto the scenes at Cagliari before moving to Inter Milan in 2019.
The 25-year-old enjoyed another excellent season at Inter, contributing to 17 goals in 48 appearances for the Italian giants.
According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of the midfielder and is keen on beating Real Madrid to his signing.
The 25 year old is reportedly valued at around £77million by Inter Milan.
