Real Madrid and adidas have unveiled the away jersey for the 2022-23 season.
The dominant colour of the Real Madrid away kit for next season is purple, which combines with the jersey’s black detailing around the rounded collar and stripes on the shoulders.
The jersey also boasts a striking pattern, reminiscent of those used on adidas kits throughout the 90s.
It’s the fourth time this century that Real Madrid will be wearing purple, most recently doing so as they won their 12th Champions League triumph in 2016-17.
The design is inspired by the pre-match atmosphere and uses HEAT.RDY KEEP COOL technology to regulate players’ temperatures during games.
The new jersey is made using recycled materials and is now on exclusive sale in adidas and Real Madrid stores, alongside a selection of other outlets.
Real Madrid will wear the jersey for the first time in the pre-season friendly against Juventus is Los Angeles, USA on 30 July.
It also didn’t go unnoticed that Marco Asensio featured prominently during the kit release despite reports linking him with an exit this summer.
