Carlo Ancelotti will have his Real Madrid troops back for pre-season training on July 8th.

However, not all the Real Madrid players will return for pre-season training on July 8th as many of them were busy with their respective national teams until mid-June

Below are the return dates for pre-season for the Real Madrid squad:

July 8: Courtois, Lunin, Odriozola, Nacho, Vallejo, Mendy, Lucas Vázquez, Kroos, Camavinga, Ceballos, Mariano, Mayoral.

July 10: Militao, Casemiro, Vinicius, Rodrygo.

July 14: Alaba, Carvajal, Rüdiger, Valverde, Modric, Hazard, Asensio, Tchouameni, Benzema, Jovic.

Real Madrid will take on Barcelona, Club America and Juventus in our pre-season tour of the United States between July 23rd and July 30th.

When does Real Madrid’s 2022-23 season start?

Real Madrid will play their first competitive fixture on August 10, 2022, against Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Super Cup at the Olympic Stadion, Helsinki in Finland.

Whereas, La Liga is set to kick off on August 12 but it is unlikely that Real Madrid will take the field in the first matchday. The full fixtures will be released on June 23.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti intends to use Eden Hazard as back-up striker to Karim Benzema next season.

According to media outlet AS, Ancelotti is looking to reignite Hazard’s career by deploying him as the team’s centre forward in a false No 9 role when Karim Benzema is rested next season.

Benzema is approaching his 35th birthday and Ancelotti intends to manage the workload of the France international next season.
