Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Italian club Lazio for the transfer of centre-back Mario Gila, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
According to Di Marzio, Real Madrid will receive €6million from Lazio for the transfer of the 21 year old Spanish centre-back.
Gila joined the Real Madrid academy in 2018 and made swift progress at the club, becoming a pivotal figure for Real Madrid Castilla.
He made his first-team debut against Espanyol last season and made another appearance against Levante.
Lazio initially wanted to sign Mario Gila in a loan deal while reserving the option to sign him permanently from Real Madrid next year before opting to sign him permanently.
Gila has also agreed personal terms with Lazio and an announcement of the transfer is now imminent.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has revealed the arrival Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco this summer doesn’t bother him.
Ceballos struggled for game time last season as he was behind Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Casemiro, Federico Valverde and Camavinga in pecking order.
It is believed Ceballos will become 7th choice midfielder for Real Madrid following the arrival of Tchouameni for €100million.
Ceballos said as per Madrid Xtra: “Does the signing of Tchouameni bother me? He doesn’t play in my position. Real Madrid should sign the best.”
He added: “You have to show it on the pitch, at Real Madrid, there’s more 6 midfielders, you have to take every opportunity.”
“At Real Madrid, whoever wants to play has to take advantage of every opportunity.”
