Luka Jovic is on the verge of leaving Real Madrid to join Italian side Fiorentina.
Jovic, 24, moved to Real Madrid back in 2019 for an eye-watering fee of €63m from Eintracht Frankfurt but has struggled to make an impact at the Spanish capital.
The 24 year old striker failed to earn the trust of Zinedine Zidane and Carlo Ancelotti.
The father of Jovic believes the 24 year old striker will prove Real Madrid wrong following his move to Fiorentina.
He told Serbian daily Objektiv: “It’s the correct move. An opportunity for all of us to see who is right and who is wrong. To look each other in the eyes and see if you are strong or not.”
Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Italian club Fiorentina have reached an agreement for the transfer of striker Luka Jovic.
Jovic joins Fiorentina on a permanent deal on a two year contract with an option of another two years.
Real and Fiorentina were in talks over a loan deal for Jovic before both clubs reached an agreement for a permanent deal.
Real Madrid will receive no fee from Fiorentina for the transfer of Jovic but will have a 50 per cent sell-on. This means Real Madrid will get 50 per cent of the transfer fee should Fiorentina sell Jovic in future.
