Chelsea right-back Reece James is attracting interest from Real Madrid, with Los Blancos president Florentino Perez reportedly a big admirer of the England international.

Perez reportedly sees the Chelsea right-back as a long-term replacement for 30 year old Real Madrid right-back Daniel Carvajal.

The 22-year-old has cemented himself as one of the best full-backs in the Premier League and is also attracting interest from Manchester City.

Amid interest from Real and Manchester City, Reece James insists his long-term future is at Chelsea.

When asked if he sees his long-term future at Chelsea, Reece James said:

“I’d like to think so yeah. I grew up as a Chelsea fan and you know I made my name playing for Chelsea, the club I’ve always supported but I don’t see why anything would change.”

Meanwhile, Rodrygo has revealed former Los Blancos forward Cristiano Ronaldo made him fall in love with Real Madrid.

Rodrygo told ABC: “Cristiano Ronaldo made me fall in love with Real Madrid. I already liked it, but it was with him that I became most interested in Real Madrid.”

Rodrygo also confirmed he will be signing a new contract until the summer of 2028.

He added: “I’ve been here for three years and I’m going to renew. Real Madrid is my dream.”
