Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti reportedly offloaded Luka Jovic to Italian club Fiorentina because the striker is lazy.
Real Madrid were so desperately to get Jovic out of the club that he was allowed to join Fiorentina permanently without a fee.
According to Italian journalist Enzo Bucchioni, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti described Jovic as an excellent striker but also a lazy player.
“I spoke to Carlo Ancelotti, he told me: Luka Jovic is an excellent striker. Not very mobile, but strong in the penalty area, good with his head and with his feet,” Bucchioni said.
“A serious guy. If he is motivated he will do very well, I am convinced of it. Negatives? Sometimes he is a bit lazy, he needs to be stimulated”
Jovic, 24, moved to Real Madrid back in 2019 for an eye-watering fee of €63m from Eintracht Frankfurt but struggled to make an impact at the Spanish capital.
The 24 year old striker failed to earn the trust of Zinedine Zidane and Carlo Ancelotti.
The father of Jovic believes the 24 year old striker will prove Real Madrid wrong following his move to Fiorentina.
He told Serbian daily Objektiv: “It’s the correct move. An opportunity for all of us to see who is right and who is wrong. To look each other in the eyes and see if you are strong or not.”
