Eight more Real Madrid stars returned for pre-season training today as preparations for the new season intensifies.

The madridistas underwent their medicals at Real Madrid City and the Hospital Universitario Sanitas La Moraleja-Edificio Ana de Austria.

The players that returned for pre-season training today are Eden Hazard, Antonio Rudiger, Aurelien Tchouameni, Luka Modric, David Alaba, Marco Asensio, Federico Valverde and Daniel Carvajal.

This set of Real Madrid stars returned today for pre-season because they were in action for their national teams in June.

They are due to complete their first training session of the season this evening, alongside their teammates.

Meanwhile, Spain international Marco Asensio no longer wants to leave Real Madrid this summer, according to a report on media outlet AS.

Asensio has just one year left on his contract with the La Liga and European champions and was previously keen on leaving the club this summer.

The Spain international was previously keen on leaving the club this summer as he wanted more game time but has now decided to stay at Real Madrid.

Asensio believes that the departures of Jovic, Isco and Bale will increase his chances of playing significant minutes, with Real not signing replacements for the three players.

Asensio and his agent Jorge Mendes do not expect a contract renewal from Los Blancos but are reportedly calm about the situation.
