Liverpool have reportedly joined the race to sign €90million Real Madrid transfer target Alexander Isak.

According to media outlet Fichajes, Liverpool have now joined Real Madrid, Arsenal and Newcastle United in the race for the 22 year old Real Sociedad striker.

Isak has a release clause of €90million in his Real Sociedad contract but is reportedly available for between €50million to €60million.

The 22 year old Sweden international has made 103 La Liga appearances since joining Real Sociedad in 2019, scoring 32 goals. He made 32 appearances in the La Liga last season, scoring 6 goals.

His best season in the La Liga for Real Sociedad was the 2020-21 season in which he scored 17 goals in 34 La Liga appearances.

Isak has four years left on his Real Sociedad contract and it is believed they are willing to let him leave if an offer of at least €50million is received for the 22 year old striker.

Real Madrid see Isak as a quality player to have as a backup for Karim Benzema in the attacking unit. Florentino Perez is said to be keeping tabs on the Swedish international, but Los Blancos are yet to make an official move.

Isak has long been regarded as one of the most promising young strikers in Europe, with people in his homeland comparing him to Zlatan Ibrahimovic during his time at AIK.
