Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has sent a warning to rivals Barcelona ahead of the pre-season clash between both sides in the United States.

Real Madrid will take on Barcelona in a pre-season game on Sunday 24 July, in Las Vegas, United States.

Ancelotti has sent a warning to Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez that it’s never a friendly against Barcelona.

Ancelotti said: “It’s never a friendly against Barcelona. The fact we face them early in the season is good too.

“We’ll both want to win this game here and put on a show, as Real Madrid vs Barcelona always is.”

Meanwhile, eight more Real Madrid stars returned for pre-season training on Thursday as preparations for the new season intensifies.

The madridistas underwent their medicals at Real Madrid City and the Hospital Universitario Sanitas La Moraleja-Edificio Ana de Austria.

The players that returned for pre-season training today are Eden Hazard, Antonio Rudiger, Aurelien Tchouameni, Luka Modric, David Alaba, Marco Asensio, Federico Valverde and Daniel Carvajal.

This set of Real Madrid stars returned today for pre-season because they were in action for their national teams in June.

They completed their first training session of the season on Thursday evening, alongside their teammates.
