Real Madrid keen on selling Asensio but want to keep Hazard – Real Madrid slammed for unfair treatment of Asensio

Real Madrid are ready to sell Marco Asensio this summer if he doesn’t extend his contract with the club. However, Real Madrid did not increase his salary in the deal on offer.

Madrid-based reporter Lucas Navarrete has claimed Asensio has been treated unfairly by Real Madrid.

“I don’t understand this “sense of urgency” about selling Asensio,” Navarrete writes.

“He will not start this season, could contribute off the bench both as a RW and as a false 9 and was the team’s third-best scorer last year.

“I get it, he never reached his potential and it’s frustrating seeing that every week. But why this urgency about selling him all of a sudden while everyone seems to want Hazard to be given another chance? It’s a bit shocking imo.”

Asensio scored 12 goals for Real Madrid last season – only Vinicius and Benzema scored more for the club.
