Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has turned down the chance to sign Inter Milan striker Edin Dzeko, according to Cadena Ser’s El Larguero.

With Marco Asensio and Borja Mayoral potentially leaving this summer, Los Blancos are considering signing an attacker this summer.

Florentino Perez reportedly rejected the chance to bring the Inter Milan striker to Real Madrid due to his age. Dzeko is 36 and Perez will prefer to sign a younger striker.

Perez remains open to signing a striker who will play a back-up role to Karim Benzema this summer should Asensio and Borja Mayoral leave this summer. Dzeko isn’t seen as the ideal signing for Real Madrid.
