Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has revealed he isn’t bothered about Sunday’s El Clasico against Barcelona because it is only a pre-season game.
Modric admits games against Barcelona always have a lot of intensity and are also always full of expectations but he insists Sunday’s game is about building fitness.
Modric said: “The games against Barcelona always have a lot of intensity and expectations but we don’t think about the score. We’re using these games to improve ourselves.”
Meanwhile, Barcelona star Ferran Torres will be fit for Sunday’s El Clasico against Real Madrid in the United States.
The Barcelona attacker suffered a knock to his right foot on the first day of pre-season training camp and has since missed the entirety of the pre-season so far.
The 22 year old forward missed Barcelona’s friendly against UE Olot and did not participate in the clash against versus Inter Miami either.
