The sporting director of Getafe, Ruben Reyes, has confirmed the La Liga side are interested in signing Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral this summer.

Rubén Reyes said: “Mayoral is a player who has done a great job here and we all like him. We are working on it and let’s see. We are very excited that he can come.”

Marca has previously claimed that Borja Mayoral will join Getafe for a fee of €10million this summer after spending last season on loan with the La Liga side.

Borja Mayoral scored six goals in 18 La Liga appearances in the second-half of last season for Getafe.

The offer of first team football has clinched the agreement for Mayoral and he is expected to sign a contract until 2027 at the Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
