According to reliable Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, contract talks between the player and Napoli have stalled with his current deal due to expire in 2023.

Los Blancos boss Ancelotti is known to be a huge admirer of Fabian Ruiz after they both worked together during the Italian’s time in Naples and would not hesitate to bring the player to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
