According to a report by media outlet Defensa Central, Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg have slapped a €50m price tag on Real Madrid transfer target Benjamin Sesko.

The highly-rated teenage striker is also a target for English duo Manchester United and Chelsea.

The youngster has seen his stock rise since joining Red Bull Salzburg from NK Domzale nearly three years ago. The 19-year-old first had to make his way through the Austrian outfit’s farm club, FC Liefering before becoming a regular for Salzburg last season.

The Slovenian international has made made an impressive start to the new season as he has scored twice and provided one assist in three appearances so far.

Sesko’s performances have helped him earn comparisons to Norwegian star Erling Haaland, who rose to prominence at the Austrian club.

Despite Los Blanchos Carlo Ancelotti claiming the club’s summer transfer business is over, the recent exit of Borja Mayoral as well as the uncertainty surrounding the future of Marco Asensio means the club may likely have to delve into the market again to find a suitable cover for Karim Bezema.

Sesko has thus emerged as a viable target for Real Madrid, but we face stiff competition from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in the race to sign the 19-year-old attacking prodigy.

The Madrid hierarchy will need to act fast as recent reports have also claimed that Manchester United will soon table an offer to test Red Bull Salzburg’s resolve.
