Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro was named Man of the Match as Real Madrid beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 on Wednesday night.

The Brazilian midfielder was at his imperious best at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium and nearly capped a wonderful display with a second-half goal only for the bar to deny him.

Explaining why Casemiro was named Man of the Match, UEFA’s Technical Observer panel said: “He balanced the game well when his team attacked.

“He also won all his tackles in very important areas to support his central defenders and assisted the first goal.”
