Federico Valverde reached an impressive milestone for Real Madrid in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Almeria.

Valverde, who started the game for Real Madrid, has now made 150 appearances for the Real Madrid first-team in his fifth season as a member of the first-team squad.

Speaking about Real Madrid’s victory over Almeria: “It was important for us to get our LaLiga campaign off to a winning start.

“They were tough opponents and are a newly promoted side who play with desire and excitement.

“It really was a bit of a struggle for us, but we were patient and managed to score twice. We had a lot of chances and knew that the goal could come at any time.”
