According to media outlet Marca, gormer Real Madrid captain Marcelo is one step closer to retirement as the offers to continue his career are not attractive enough to him.
After 25 years at Real Madrid, the left-back left the club this summer after winning 25 titles with Real Madrid.
La Liga side Valladolid, French team Lyon, Italy’s AC Milan, and Turkish outfit Fenerbahce have all been linked with a move for Marcelo but have been unable to reach an agreement with the defender.
The 34-year-old has no interest in heading to Qatar or MLS in America for the next stage of his career, despite reported offers on the table.
However, with no deals being agreed, and none of the offers appealing to Marcelo’s present state of affairs, it seems the Real Madrid legend is closer to retirement than a second wind as a player.
