£105,000-a-week Real Madrid defender wants Premier League move

Premier League side Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Real Madrid defender Alvaro Odriozola, according to talkSPORT.

Odriozola impressed on loan at Italian side Fiorentina last season. He made 27 appearances, scoring once and claiming one assist.

The 26 year old is keen on moving to the Premier League as it doesn’t seem like he will get regular playing time at Real Madrid this season under Carlo Ancelotti.

The player was on the bench for the opening La Liga game of the season against Almeria but wasn’t in the squad for the UEFA Super Cup.

Since joining Real Madrid from Real Sociedad in 2018, Ordriozola has played 43 times for Los Blancos. He’s scored three goals and claimed 10 assists but has never held down a regular place in the team.

The big stumbling block to this deal could be Ordriozola’s substantial wages. He earns £105,000-a-week at the Bernabeu and he will want a decent package at Forest.
