Despite being considered an important player by Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid are reportedly happy to sell Casemiro to Manchester United.
According to Metro, Ancelotti sees Casemiro as a key player, but both the Italian manager and the club recognise that landing a big fee for a player who turns 31 in February is an opportunity that cannot be overlooked.
Real Madrid are demanding around €70million (£59m) for Casemiro and Manchester United are reportedly happy to pay the fee.
Manchester United have also reportedly offered 30 year old Casemiro a five year contract worth €400,000-a-week, a package the Brazilian midfielder considers too good to turn down.
Real Madrid believe selling 30 year old Casemiro for €70million to Manchester United would also bolster the club’s finances and give an enormous amount of wiggle room with regard to La Liga’s strict financial regulations.
Real Madrid believe they have enough talented midfielders – Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Dani Ceballos – to cover for the loss of Casemiro.
