Following the departure of Casemiro, Aurelien Tchouameni played the holding midfield role in Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory over Celta Vigo.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti admitted after the game that he was impressed with the performance of Tchouameni against Celta Vigo.

Speaking about Tchouameni’s performance against Celta Vigo, Ancelotti said:

“Tchouameni has very different qualities compared to Casemiro. I’m happy for him, he played well and enjoyed himself out there tonight.”

Tchouameni was one of Madrid’s best players against Celta. The 22-year-old registered 4 clearances, 1 blocked shot, 3 interceptions, 2 tackles, won 5/8 duels and completed 61/68 passes and 3/3 dribbles.
