Premier League club Newcastle United have reached an agreement with Real Sociedad to sign Real Madrid transfer target Alexander Isak, according to The Athletic.
The deal is worth in the region of £60million (€71.2m) and the striker’s move to St James’ Park is now thought to be imminent.
Alexander Isak, 22, will become Newcastle’s record signing, ahead of Bruno Guimaraes, who joined the club from Lyon, and Joelinton, who moved from Hoffenheim.
Isak is regarded as one of the most exciting young strikers in Europe and was linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
