Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has revealed Luka Modric and Casemiro are his best midfield partners due to how they complement him on the pitch.

Asked which midfielder in his career has complemented him best on the pitch, Kroos said as per media outlet AS: “ I think the constellation at Real Madrid recently got closer to what I would consider the ‘perfect complement’.

“Because we had everything in our line: with Casemiro , one who had the clear task of sweeping the center. And with Luka Modricand with me, two who do not run away from defensive tasks.

“In this way, we were very compact defensively. On the other hand, we were also synonymous with football, control and special moments up front.

“The coordination between defense and attack was pretty perfect. Also because over the years, each of us knew which spaces to play in and which ones to defend.

“We didn’t have to talk to each other much during the game and we went out on the pitch with that confidence.

“I think the interaction with Modrić and Casemiro has come relatively close to perfection.”
