However, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was only able to name five defenders in the squad that travelled for the game against Espanyol.
Nacho Fernandez, Jesus Vallejo and Alvaro Odriozola all failed to travel with the squad for the game against Espanyol due to injury.
German international Toni Kroos is back in the squad, after missing last weekend’s 4-1 win away at Celta Vigo with a virus, and Ancelotti will make a late call on whether to start him against Espanyol.
