Real Madrid transfer target Reece James has made a decision on his Chelsea future.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, James is set to sign a new contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2028.

Romano tweeted: “Reece James new deal will be valid until June 2028 — Chelsea want to include an option for further season. Negotiations progressing to the final stage.

“He’s never been close to joining Real Madrid, despite rumours.”
