Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema suffered an injury during the 3-0 victory over Celtic on Tuesday in the Champions League.

The France international had to undergo a test on Wednesday to reveal the extent of the injury he suffered on Tuesday night.

According to Lucas Navarrete, Benzema was diagnosed with a hamstring injury (semitendinosus muscle) and muscle fatigue in his quadriceps. He is expected to be out for around two weeks.

Benzema will almost surely miss the Madrid Derby against Atletico Madrid (September 18th).
