Real Madrid went into the break with the scoreline at 1-1 before going on to score three goals in the second-half to beat Mallorca 4-1 on Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid star Federico Valverde, who scored a brilliant goal against Mallorca, has revealed what Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti told the players at half-time.
Valverde said: “He asked us to really attack the space, especially with the ball in our own half. They were leaving space and we had a lot of chances, although the goal came in another way. We’re pleased and it was a good performance.”
Valverde also reacted to his brilliant goal against Mallorca.
He added: “I started running, I saw the red shirts and I tried to get round them so I could keep going. When I saw they were showing me inside, I took advantage of that and shot with my left. It was a team goal.”
