Real Madrid beat German side RB Leipzig 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Wednesday night thanks to second-half goals from Federico Valverde and Marco Asensio.

Real Madrid star Valverde was named Man of the Match after his impressive performance in the victory over RB Leipzig.

Explaining why Federico Valverde was named Player of the Match, UEFA’s Technical Observer Panel said: “Valverde made a second-half action with a goal and worked hard in defence.”
