Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal has blamed Real Madrid’s failure to score more goals against Atletico Madrid on Real Madrid lacking a bit of possession.
Speaking to Movistar after Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Atlético Madrid on Sunday, Dani Carvajal gave his thoughts on the game.
“We’re very happy. We played a very good first half and in the second we lacked a bit of possession in order to do more damage.
“At 0-2, we were comfortable and it got a bit complicated, but we have the three points and a good mood going into the break.”
Carvajal also talked about his scuffle with Hermoso.
He added: “It all started from a tackle I made on Reinildo. There was a scuffle and that was good for us because it stopped the game and we cut the rhythm. Hermoso made a mistake. I didn’t see the red card, but if the referee saw it…”
