Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had a meeting with Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior before the derby against Atletico Madrid last weekend.

In the build-up to the derby, Vinicius Junior was subjected to racial abuse from Atletico Madrid fans which started after a leading Spanish agent compared the Brazilian forward to a monkey.

According to Marca, Perez had a meeting with Vinicius Junior on Saturday before the derby against Atletico Madrid.

Perez reportedly told Vinicius Junior to try not to indulge in arguments with the opponent and that he has the club’s absolute trust.

Vinicius Junior impressed for Real Madrid and was heavily involved in the second goal as Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 at the Metropolitano.
