La Liga rivals Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid star Marco Asensio when his contract expires at the end of the season.

When asked if he will play for Barcelona, Asensio told COPE: “Playing at Barcelona? I have not thought about it, I have not valued it. Right now, I can’t give you an answer.”

He added: “I don’t know if Barça want me, many other clubs have came.”

““Discarding playing for Barça? There are many rumors, it’s normal. In 7 months I can play for any club.”

Asensio was linked with several clubs during the summer including Liverpool and AC Milan but he has insisted he never about leaving Real Madrid.

Asensio said: “I had options but I never seriously thought for a moment that I wanted to leave Real Madrid.”
