Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger is hoping to win the World Cup with Germany this winter.

“That is the goal, but I see other countries ahead at the moment,” Rudiger told Sport1.

“I’m not hiding and I’m not going to go around saying we are the favourites. The role of underdogs may not be a bad thing. France and Brazil have very good individuals. They are a bit ahead of us.

“What sets us apart in Germany is our cohesion. If we die, we all die on the pitch. That mentality on the pitch.”
