Atletico Madrid star Rodrigo De Paul has hailed Real Madrid star Luka Modric as the best midfielder in the world.

Despite being 37, Modric has continued to impress for Real Madrid and has remained a key player for Carlo Ancelotti.

Meanwhile, Luka Modric has revealed his secret to staying at highest level despite being 37.

Modric told Marca: “They always ask me for my secret, but I don’t know what to tell you. It’s something natural.

“I live for and for football almost 24 hours a day . I think that’s very important. I love what I do and I’m enjoying my profession like never before because I know I’m at a difficult age for a footballer.

“Maybe that’s why I’m enjoying it like never before, because you never know how long you can last at this level and at this club, where the demand is maximum. I try to enjoy training and in games. All this helps to be well at this age.”
