Real Madrid are very close to signing Brazilian midfielder Joao Gomes, who currently plays for Flamengo, according to Martin Liberman.

The deal to bring the Brazilian midfielder to the Santiago Bernabeu would reportedly cost the club around €30million.

Premier League sides Liverpool and Manchester United are also interested interested in the Brazilian midfielder but have now lost out to Real Madrid.

With Toni Kroos and Luka Modric over 30, investing in midfield is currently a priority for Real Madrid.
