According to AS, Barcelona star Jules Koundé could recover in time from his injury to face Real Madrid in El Clásico.

The 23 year old defender suffered a tear in the femoral biceps of his left leg when playing for France in their victory over Austria.

Initial assessments carried out by the French national team’s medical staff predicted that he would be sidelined for a month.

However, according to AS, Barcelona’s medical team believe that he could recover in as little time as three weeks, which could make him available to play in El Clásico.

The first El Clásico of this season is scheduled to take place on the 16th of October.
