Eden Hazard was an unused substitute as Real Madrid beat Getafe 1-0 on Saturday night to return to the summit of the La Liga table.

The game against Getafe was the fifth consecutive game that Hazard was an unused substitute for Real Madrid since he was taken off after starting the 4-1 victory over Mallorca.

Following Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Getafe, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has now assured Hazard that he will get his chance to impress soon.

Ancelotti said: “Hazard is fine and is training well. He’ll get his chance very soon.”

Speaking about Federico Valverde’s favourite position, Ancelotti added: “I’ve spoken to him and he told me that his favourite position is to be out there and playing. He doesn’t enjoy being on the bench.”
