Real Madrid take on rivals Barcelona in the El Clasico next weekend at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Following Barcelona’s 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo on Sunday which took Xavi Hernandez’s men to the summit of the La Liga table, the Barcelona boss has delivered a message to Real Madrid.

Xavi has claimed Barcelona beat Real Madrid 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu last season despite not being at their best, suggesting they could demolish Real Madrid again this season as they are in better form.

Xavi said: “El Clasico is very important but look, last year we weren’t playing that well & we won comfortably.”

Meanwhile, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has assured Eden Hazard that he will get his chance to impress soon.

Hazard was an unused substitute as Real Madrid beat Getafe 1-0 on Saturday night to return to the summit of the La Liga table.

The game against Getafe was the fifth consecutive game that Hazard was an unused substitute for Real Madrid since he was taken off after starting the 4-1 victory over Mallorca.

Ancelotti said: “Hazard is fine and is training well. He’ll get his chance very soon.”
