According to Javier Herraez of Cadena SER, Real Madrid centre-back Nacho is considering his future at the club for the first time in his career.

The 32 year old defender is a one-club man and has only ever played for Real Madrid since graduating from the youth system at Real Madrid.

Nacho’s current contract expires at the end of the current season and Real Madrid are reportedly in talks to extend it for another year. However, he has now paused contract negotiations with the club as he considers his future at Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has assured Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger that he is a very important player to the club.

Rudiger joined Real Madrid during the summer transfer window from Chelsea and has started just once in the Champions League for the club. He has also made just four starts in the La Liga.

Ancelotti said: “Rüdiger knows very well he is very important to us, he’s a world-class defender like Militao, Alaba and Nacho.”
