PSG boss Christophe Galtier has rubbished reports linking Kylian Mbappe with a move away from the French club in January amid interest from Real Madrid.

Marca reported on Tuesday afternoon that Mbappe wants to leave PSG in January because he feels ‘betrayed’ by the club’s owners.

Galtier told L’Equipe after PSG’s Tuesday night’s Champions League draw against Benfica: “I don’t know anything. I just know that a rumour became a piece of information and then almost a statement. I haven’t seen anything different, I find it surprising that this happens before an important match.

“I’ve never heard of any discussions. Kylian played a very rhythmic, very intense match. He gave an answer to this rumour. I don’t think this rumour has disrupted the preparation of the match.

“I didn’t talk about it at all with my players, nor with my staff. We stayed focused on the preparation of the match. I am surprised.

“It’s a rumour. Whether it comes out four or five hours before the match, I have the right to be questioned. Who is this rumour for?”
