Following Real Madrid’s 3-1 victory over Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has revealed what Real Madrid have that Barcelona lacks.

Xavi said: “I will not point the finger at the players, I am the most responsible. I am the captain of the ship. Mistakes have been made and we just need to grow and become more mature.”

He continued: “We did well in La Liga but we have to improve our strength and our aggression … We talked about that, that we had to learn how to stop counter-attacks, and in the first goal they put us in a transitional phase.”

Xavi also admitted that Real Madrid has more advantages than his team

“Maybe it’s time to try different things,” Xavi said.

“We need to be more mature, something that Real Madrid enjoys. They know how to retain and interact, how to take advantage of the advantages in the decisive moments, they are a more mature and experienced team than we are, and that was evident today.”
