Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has described Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema as a combination of two Real Madrid greats Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo Nazario.

Speaking to El Larguero after Benzema was named the winner of the 2022 Ballon d’Or on Monday, Perez revealed what makes Benzema so good:

“He’s a nine, a combination of Ronaldo and Zidane, he does both jobs at the same time. He moves forward like Zidane did and shoots like Ronaldo Nazario did.”
